• Taking prints is a simple process using just some sticky tape, a pencil and paper. You may find full instructions here: How to take prints Please remember to take as many prints as possible- we will select the best one to make your jewellery

  • We don't usually recommend fingerprint jewellery for children under 2 as their prints are not well-developed and are very difficult to capture. However, that being said, we have had some very good luck getting prints of babies before. It really comes down to the strength of each individual child's print and how tenacious the parent is in trying to obtain it.

Sometimes, especially with very small babies, it is possible to obtain a very nice print using the baby’s big toe.

You are very welcome to send your prints to us to check they are suitable before you commit to ordering. Please e-mail us at info@littleimpjewelley

  • Of course. Simply take a clear and well-lit photo of your prints and send them to info@littleimpjewellery along with your order number.

  • Absolutely! We only use 100% pure sterling silver and gold so your Little Imp pieces will never turn your skin green.

  • All Little Imp Jewellery is handmade to order to keep waste at a minimum and therefore takes a bit more time than ready-made jewellery. Most (non-personalised) orders will ship within 5-7 working days. Larger items, such as bangles, or gold pieces may take around 2 weeks as they will need to be sent to the London Assay Office to be hallmarked. Fingerprint jewellery generally takes around 3 weeks, although this can be slightly longer at busy times so it is best to plan accordingly.

  • Each piece of Little Imp Jewellery is made by hand in our North Hertfordshire studio. We take pride in our work and hope that you will be happy with your jewellery, but, if for any reason you are unhappy with your items, please contact us immediately by emailing us at info@littleimpjewellery.com

Items that have not been worn or in any way damaged may be returned within 14 days of receipt. Because of their bespoke nature, fingerprint jewellery and other personalised items cannot be returned or exchanged, unless faulty. Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.

Please be aware that when you return your jewellery, we cannot be responsible for packages which have been delayed, stolen or lost. It is therefore essential that you pack your items securely and retain tracking details- your items are considered to be in your possession until they have been safely returned to us. It is the responsibility of the buyer to cover the cost of returning the purchased items. Delivery costs are non-refundable.

  • It is perfectly normal that over time, your jewellery may become dull or tarnished. Here are several tips on how to keep your jewellery shining for longer.

When you are not wearing your jewellery, to avoid tarnish, store your jewellery in an airtight container or anti-tarnish jewellery pouch.

Try to remove your jewellery before bed and before physical activities. Chains are very delicate and can easily become tangled or broken and perspiration can sometimes tarnish your piece.

Avoid wearing your jewellery whilst swimming. The chemicals in pools will cause wear on the metal over time which could cause the metal to become damaged. It is also best not to wear your jewellery in the sea as the mixture of salt and sun can also cause your jewellery to become brittle- especially chains.

Avoid exposing your jewellery to chemicals. Perfume and other lotions and potions should be put on and allowed to dry fully before putting on your jewellery Aim to apply these first and allow to fully dry before wearing your pieces, as over time your precious metal may tarnish.

All that being said, tarnish can still happen. Try to clean your jewellery regularly with a soft polishing cloth.
